We have not brought bread crumbs in a long time. Now that I can make them at home. I added some extra seasoning to the plain bread crumbs and everyone was very happy with the chicken, and requested it done this way again. Please!
Cook over medium heat, stirring till dough pulls away for sides of pan.
Take off heat. Let cool, enough to be kneaded by hand.
Add drops of food coloring and knead in by folding over repeatedly, continue kneading until dough feels right.
Store in air tight container while not in use. Will last for months.
This is an easy recipe, we have used in our classroom for years. Many parents were willing to make it at home and bring it in to class. All I had to do was print out the recipe and send it home. Our class made cakes, pies, pizza, ice cream & so much more with this home-made dough.
