This is simple and fun for young kids. The numbers on the stamps can be matched up to the postcards.

Low Prep Dramatic Play 1-10 Numbers for a mail match-up game.

This is simple and fun for young kids. The numbers on the stamps can be matched up to the postcards.

One mom left a wonderful review. Said that she attached the postcards to boxes and created a fun new way for her child to match up the stamp and play office.

That could easily be done with old bubble wrap packages or boxes. Maybe hide stuff inside and make it a fun guessing game. Feel or shake the packages and try to guess what is inside. Ask them to describe the feel, is it heavy or light? Does it sound like lots of little pieces or one solid piece? Dramatic play can be used to build that critical thinking skill that they will need for comprehension questions in their reading.

Mail match-up can also be used on a felt board. Easy to swap out paper for iron-sheet and create a soft and reusable felt board game. The same could be done for magnets or Velcro dots to create a usable game.

You can find Mail Match-up for letters on TPT site. Both of them are now in a special Dramatic Play Bundle.

Dramatic play themes are great for play-based learning. It can be full of fun role-playing, dress-up, lots of hands-on fun, and activities that get kids thinking and trying new experiences.
